On 04/22/10 at about 1400 hrs Webbs Mills crews were dispatced to Southport for a Tanker to the scene of a Brush Fire. 1861 responded with three personal and upon arrival found the Town of Southport's brush pile on fire. Pine City, Southport, and South Creek crews were already on scene fighting the fire. 1861 began to run tanker shuttles with South Creek and Pine City as Southport's engine pumped water to attack lines. Webbs Mills base was notified that additional man power was needed. 1871 with two and 1872 with three responded with wildland certified personal.
When these units arrived on the scene they relieved the current firefighters and assisted with the wetting down of hotspots. 1861 shuttled a total of five loads of water to the scene and crews assisted with mop up and were called back in service at around 1600 hrs.
